The Story

It's rare to find a firm with 650 people and just two offices that is still privately owned – the sort of firm that private equity firms would give their right arm for.

It was therefore a great privilege to welcome Natasha Frangos of HaysMac onto the podcast.  Natasha shares what's behind their 65% organic growth in the last four years, their sector-specific strategies, their commitment to and progression of their team, and their level of team engagement.

So why not go and dive into the podcast discussion with Natasha from HaysMac and scroll down the podcast’s episode page for the contact information for Natasha and for the additional, downloadable resources mentioned in the podcast.

The Solution:

We're about to launch our formal line manager training program. And I would say we've never had it properly documented.

So, if you're a line manager, this is the journey you're going to be on. We've never really done that; we’ve now done that.

Our Learning and Development team have put the training programme together, they've done a brilliant job, and the contributions will come from a mix of internal, but also bringing in external speakers, and it'll be anything from you know leaning into the difficult conversations, how to have really meaningful appraisal talks with people, so that they actually know where they stand, what goes next and what the next actions, inclusivity and how to navigate conversations around that and DEI.

With all of these things, whenever I do these surveys, I look for the actions we're going to take. What comes next?

Well, this is what the data says, but what are the actions that come out of that? And so all of these are action points that are falling out of our surveys and our feelings of what we need to do to improve.

Remarkable Practice Client Manager Programme

You secure your firm’s future growth and profitability when your clients are loyal, recommend you more, buy additional services and are open to regular price increases.

And what drives all of that?

Not just technical quality. Not just deadlines met.

It’s the behaviour and mindset of your client managers.

When your client managers improve how they engage and care for clients, your firm’s results improve.

So the question is: Could you be doing more to build your client managers’ skills and mindset?

That’s exactly what our Client Manager Programme is designed to do.

It helps client managers:

  • Build deeper client relationships
  • Deliver value beyond the numbers
  • Handle pricing conversations with confidence
  • Spot and act on opportunities for additional services
